Training is one of the key strengths of Sandhurst Consulting and we believe we offer the best training and exercise events in North America. We work closely with all our clients to customize content to reflect how their organization conducts operations.
Our Team comes from a variety of backgrounds and offers decades of experience and a breadth of knowledge that is unparalleled. Whatever your training requirements are, we almost certainly have the instructor to meet your needs.
There are two options for ICS training: ICS certified training or customized ICS aligned courses. Certified training is provided by authorized facilitators and will follow the mandated course content.
We also offer customized training that can be developed specifically for your organization. This will be tailored to you and is usually more time efficient. Although you will not receive official certification, the content will still largely align with ICS Canada or the National Incident Management System (NIMS). The major difference is the removal of content that is not relevant to your requirement.
Role-specific training builds upon the competency provided in the base training courses. Most clients opt for Sandhurst’s one-day role-specific courses rather than the multiday ICS Canada role-specific courses, but we offer both.
The Incident Command System (ICS) 100 course introduces the Incident Command System. Our standard ICS 100 course has been certified by the Alberta Emergency Management Agency and has been adapted to deliver more industry-specific material. Clients have leveraged this course and adapted it to meet their specific needs including adding ERP Awareness Training, notification procedures and company-specific knowledge into the course.

The Incident Command System (ICS) 200 course is aimed at the personnel who lead single resources in a response. It is the minimum level required to operate effectively as a Field Responder in conjunction with the Incident Command Post (ICP). It is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the ICS.
