Career Highlights

Stuart commanded at every rank during his British Army career, serving in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bosnia, and Northern Ireland. His work included leading humanitarian coordination efforts, training junior and senior leaders, and supporting agencies such as MI5, the Afghan Army, the Baghdad Police Force, and multiple emergency response organizations.

As CEO of the British Army’s largest training establishment, Stuart led a mixed military and civilian workforce of more than 1,000 people, delivering advanced training to over 12,000 personnel annually. His role included coaching senior leaders preparing for deployment on complex operations.

After retiring from the Army, Stuart joined a major Calgary-based corporation as Director of Training, responsible for leadership and emergency response training for a workforce of 4,500 employees. He later led the corporation’s $60-million Flood Recovery Project for the Government of Alberta following the 2013 floods, coordinating more than 500 staff.

Today, as the founder of Sandhurst Consulting, Stuart focuses on leadership development and training, crisis management training, and strategic planning for clients across multiple industries.
